Join Baala Samajam for youth empowerment
Akhila Malankara Balasamajam is a spiritual organisation for the children founded in 1982, by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. It is indeed prestigious for us that a unit of balasamajam is functioning well at our Parish. The main objective of Balasamajam is to inculcate the values of worship, study and virtuous life among all boys and girls in the church.
Balasamajam aims at the integrated personal development of a child. And all round development of personality of the child is accomplished as they are encouraged to study the Holy Bible,the tradition and history of the church along with their academic studies.
Balasamajam meetings are conducted and convened by Sunday school children themselves. Our unit meetings are held every first sunday along with Sunday school. Children from balapadam classes to Higher secondary level actively participate in the programs such as action songs, Bible verses, quiz, group song story telling etc.
A unit of Balasamajam operates within our church, overseen by the Vicar. Thanks to the well-coordinated efforts of the Balasamajam group, involving all the children, they have brought great pride to the church by winning numerous prizes in various competitions throughout 2023. Notably, Ms. Leena Thomas from our church has been selected as the Ernakulam Zone Organizer of Balasamajam, a significant achievement for our congregation.
