October 1st is celebrated as World Elder’s Day. On this day in 2023, our church inaugurated a unit of the Elder’s Forum. Elders who reached the age of 65 were honored in a ceremony presided over by our Vicar, with activities coordinated by the OCYM members.

Following the Malankara Church Synod's decision, this unit is named the Sr. Joseph’s Elders Forum. The forum holds regular monthly meetings and engages in various activities, including visiting the elderly and sick members of our church at hospitals and homes, as well as organizing regular outings and get-togethers.
